I’m always on the lookout for new protein drinks to help me stay energized and satisfied throughout the day. So when I came across Koia protein drink at my local grocery store, I was intrigued. Koia is a plant-based protein drink that comes in a variety of flavors, including vanilla bean, chocolate coconut, and cappuccino. I decided to try the vanilla bean and chocolate brownie flavors to see how they stacked up. Here’s my review.

Koia Protein Drink: Chocolate Brownie

The grit was actually pretty tasty and it actually balanced out with the delicious flavor of chocolate.

I bought this on a whim while searching for cocoa powder, but ended up pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed both flavors! The brownie has an interesting texture – not sandy at all like some would expect (which is why they call them “graham” bands), instead very cake-like in sweetness; plus you can’t really taste any saltiness from those little chips either which makes me think there must be vanilla bean Integrated into their recipe somewhere…

You’ll forget it too I’m sure! The flavor of this product reminds me of the YooHoo “milk” boxes I used to get as a kid for Halloween. Only this time, the brownies are always there for me without any guilt.

This is because, unlike other companies’ keto products, they do not put fillers in theirs such as glucose syrup, animal liver oil, etc. These bad boys contain MTC Oil from sources credible enough that it is bound to be helpful on your weight loss journey!

But hey, not necessarily a downer in my book! Additionally, I pored some of it into keto chocolate muffins that called for almond milk and they turned out amazing. If you are on the lookout for a good protein drink, I would recommend giving this one a try!

Koia Protein Drink: Vanilla Bean

The flavor of this drink is very light and refreshing. I was worried that it might taste too “healthy,” but it doesn’t. It’s sweetened with monk fruit extract and has no artificial flavors or sweeteners. I’m not usually a fan of vanilla-flavored things, but this drink is an exception. It’s perfect for a post-workout recovery drink or a snack on the go.

Flavor

The drink had a pleasant vanilla flavor that wasn’t too sweet. I could definitely taste the bean extract, which added an interesting depth of flavor. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Nutrition Facts

One serving of Koia has 160 calories, 5 grams of fat, 25 grams of carbohydrates, and 15 grams of protein. That’s not bad! The drink is also low in sugar, with only 9 grams per serving. As someone who’s always conscious of her sugar intake, that’s a big plus.

Price

At $4.59 per bottle, Koia is on the more expensive side as far as protein drinks go. However, I think it’s worth the price given the high quality of the ingredients and the great flavor.

Conclusion

If you’re looking for a delicious and nutritious plant-based protein drink, I would definitely recommend giving Koia a try! It’s a bit pricier than some other options on the market, but in my opinion, it’s worth it.
