It’s a common misconception that the products seen on TV are of better quality than those available in stores. In reality, this is not always the case. Blue Diamond Cookware is a perfect example of this phenomenon. Though it may be tempting to purchase cookware based on its appearance on television, it is important to remember that what is being sold is not always as good as it seems.
The Blue Diamond pan is manufactured by The Cookware Company, a global conglomerate that generates over $200 million in revenue per year. The company also owns several other popular brands, including GreenPan, Green Chef, and Green Life.

Blue Diamond Cookware Diamond Infused Ceramic Nonstick, 14″ Large Frying Pan Review
The strength of Blue Diamond cookware lies in its construction materials. The base is made from aluminum, which conducts heat well and makes it a cost-effective option compared to other materials like stainless steel or cast iron pans. Additionally, the non-stick material is infused with diamonds for extra strength over traditional non-stick materials like Teflon – however this material does tend to lose its non-stick properties faster than Teflon so keep that in mind when you’re purchasing it!
Another advantage of Blue Diamond cookware is its design features. It has a hollow handle that disperses heat – although unfortunately, this isn’t always effective as the handle can get hot within minutes regardless if you’re using it on gas or electric cooktops (not induction ranges). Lastly, these pans are oven safe up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit – something you won’t find in most other brands out there!
Weaknesses of Blue Diamond Cookware
The biggest downside to Blue Diamond cookware is its price tag – due to their inexpensive materials, manufacturing location in China, and lack of retail availability these pans are some of the cheapest available on the market. Additionally, as mentioned before, their non-stick material does not last as long as more expensive options like Teflon. Lastly, because of their lightweight construction, they may not be suitable for heavy use or higher temperatures such as searing or frying – making them better suited for low to medium heat applications such as simmering or boiling.
Testing the Blue Diamond Pan
We put the Blue Diamond pan through its paces in order to determine if each claim is true or false – let’s take a closer look at each one individually!
Eggs slide smoothly from the pan
We used two different types of eggs – whole boiled eggs and fried ones. We tested them on both cold and hot pans. The results were impressive. Our boiled eggs slid effortlessly from the surface without any sticking whatsoever, while our fried eggs also moved smoothly across with minimal effort required. As such, we can confidently say that this claim holds true!
A hand mixer could run full blast without scratching the surface
Our results were positive. We used multiple models of hand mixer for this trial (ranging in power levels) and found that all were able to run full blast without leaving any noticeable mark or scratch on the surface. This claim is true!
Clean the pan with just one paper towel wipe
Our results were a little bit mixed. While it was possible to clean up most of the spilled liquids, more stubborn stains took more than one wipe to remove completely. However, since only one paper towel was needed in most cases, this claim is still largely accurate!
Blue Diamond pans seem to work well. Eggs slide out easily, even if you fry them in oil. Hand mixers don’t scratch the surface of the pan, and it is easy to clean up spills. The test results are encouraging, even though some questions remain about how the tests were conducted.
Where to buy Blue Diamond Cookware
Blue Diamond cookware is widely available online and in stores. You can find it on Amazon, Walmart, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, and many other major retailers. •Blue Diamond cookware is made with an aluminum base, which is a cost-effective metal that conducts heat well and is very durable.
• The non-stick material is a ceramic coating infused with diamonds, which the company claims is durable enough for metal utensils and only requires a paper towel for cleaning. However, this material loses its non-stick properties faster than Teflon and tends to wear down quicker.
• The design of the pan includes a hollow handle that disperses heat; however, this design isn’t effective as the handle gets hot within minutes.
• Blue Diamond pans are oven and broiler-safe up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit and are compatible with gas or electric cooktop surfaces (but not induction ranges).
• The Blue Diamond pan is one of the cheapest ceramic non-stick pans available on the market due to its inexpensive materials, manufacturing location in China, and lack of retail availability.
Gotham Steel vs Blue Diamond cookware
Blue Diamond cookware is cheaper, but has a shorter lifespan than Gotham Steel pans. If you plan to use your pan frequently and need something that will stand up to more wear-and-tear, then Gotham Steel might be the better choice for you. Additionally, if you have an induction range, then Blue Diamond pans won’t work – so in this case, it’s best to go with the Gotham Steel option.
Is Blue Diamond cookware worth it?
No. While Blue Diamond cookware is cheaper than other brands, it doesn’t last as long and may not be suitable for all types of cooking surfaces. Furthermore, its ceramic coating can wear down quicker than other non-stick materials, such as Teflon.
Is blue diamond cookware oven-safe?
Yes. Blue Diamond cookware is oven-safe up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit and can be used on gas or electric cooktop surfaces, but not induction ranges.
Is Blue Diamond cookware PFOA free?
Yes. Blue Diamond cookware is PFOA free and uses a ceramic-infused diamond coating which is said to be durable enough for metal utensils. The company also claims that you can clean up spills with just one paper towel wipe, without leaving any noticeable mark or scratch on the surface.
Why is food sticking to my blue diamond pan?
If food is sticking to your Blue Diamond pan, it may be because the non-stick coating has started to wear down. To re-season the pan, try applying a thin coat of oil and heat the surface for several minutes on low heat. This should help restore the non-stick properties.
